The drawings of Mar\u00eda Isabel Rueda are travel drawings. Shaped in notebooks that accompanied her and continue to do so, they are like that\u2014infinite because of their being made to the measure of necessity. They are strangely laborious, disciplined as only solitude can be, incomplete because their end is imperceptible, or finished because we don\u2019t feel any beginning. Finally, they are the kind of routines the strangeness of another city or accent bind, that eagerness to feel us from somewhere although deep down we are becoming more strange.
